Hosted in an interactive setting, this session will provide you with essential information and practical advice on navigating the NHE3 grant, aimed at fostering entrepreneurial growth and economic independence in our community. • Overview of the NHE3 Grant Program: Understand the New Haven Equitable Entrepreneurial Ecosystem (NHE3) initiative, designed to support underserved entrepreneurs and small business owners by facilitating pathways to economic independence and generational wealth. Learn how the NHE3, supported by significant funding from the state Department of Economic and Community Development and the City of New Haven, aims to make the small business landscape more equitable.
• Guidance from Advisors: Receive expert advice on the documents required for your application, understand the structure of your business, and learn how to prepare a compelling grant application.
• Structured for Success: Insights into organizing your application, adhering to guidelines, and aligning your business vision with the grant's objectives.
• Interactive Q&A Session: From 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM, take advantage of a dedicated Q&A segment where you can pose specific questions about your business and receive personalized feedback.

• Date: Saturday April 20th 2024
• Time: Bootcamp from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM, followed by a Q&A session from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM.
• Location: The Collective Space 258 Windsor Ave, Windsor CT 06095

• A light breakfast will be served to keep you energized.
• Please bring a laptop or notebook for taking notes and drafting your application.

To be eligible for the grant, the answers to the following questions must be “yes”. As  part of the application, you will be asked to submit documentation as proof of your  eligibility:

• Have you been in business for at least one year (as of the date of your application submission) with a record of sales? If a startup, please indicate on the application

• Is your business in good standing with the CT Department of Revenue Services? • Is your business registered in CT?

• Does your business utilize formal digital bookkeeping/financial (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, FreshBooks, Wave Accounting)? Do you have an established business

checking account?

• Is the business a for-profit business?

• Is the business owned by a person at least 18 years old?
